Former Mizoram Ranji Trophy cricketer Khawring Lalremruata passed away after collapsing on the field during a local cricket match in the state. The tragic incident occurred at the Suaka Cricket Ground near Sairang during the Khalid Memorial Second Division Screening Tournament. Lalremruata, who had represented Mizoram in the Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, was rushed for medical treatment after collapsing on the field, but doctors were unable to save him. He was 38 years old and actively involved in cricket administration. His sudden death has deeply saddened the cricket community, and matches have been cancelled as a mark of respect.
